Chocolate Sesame Seed Snaps

Serves: approx. 20 pieces

Ingredients

— 200g sesame seeds
— 1/3 cup maple syrup
— 120g chocolate, melted
— Flaked sea salt, to sprinkle

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a 20×20 cm baking tin with baking paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sesame seeds and maple syrup, stirring until all seeds are fully coated. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared tin.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely so it becomes crisp.
  4. Once cooled, pour over the melted chocolate and sprinkle with flaked sea salt. Let the chocolate set before cutting into pieces.
