Maple nut clusters

Serves: approx. 12

Ingredients

— 1 2/3 cups roasted mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts, peanuts, etc.)
— 1/4 cup maple syrup
— Pinch of salt
— Sesame seeds (optional)
— 3/4 cup chocolate chips
— 1 tsp coconut oil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
  2. In a bowl, mix the nuts with maple syrup, salt, and sesame seeds (if using) until fully combined.
  3. Distribute the nut mixture into silicone moulds or shape into one large slab on a lined baking tray.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden and bubbling. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the moulds or tray.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil until smooth. Dip the bottom of each cooled cluster into the melted chocolate and place on baking paper.
  6. Let the clusters cool at room temperature until the chocolate sets. Store in an airtight container and enjoy!
